  • Description: HCTAYC is committed to improving services that youth use by offering policy recommendations to various programs. This year youth have identified 3 areas that they would like to see change: homelessness, Independent Living Skills, and juvenile justice. If you are between the ages 16 and 26 and have experience with homelessness, Independent Living Skills, or long-term foster care, then we invite you to participate. Come to the TAY office every Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and take care of business. Discuss your goals and make a plan to accomplish them. Apply for jobs and/or school and meet the team!Counseling ServicesWe offer 1-on-1 counseling, family therapy, case management and drop-in counseling Wednesdays 2 to 5 p.m. Our counseling and case management services focus on clients' goals for employment, housing, education, career, and personal well-being.Public HealthA Public Health Nurse is available on Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. and can provide information on health promotion, exercise, sex and sexually transmitted diseases, mental health and depression or any other health-related topic.Employment TrainingSchedule an appointment to talk to a vocational counselor about your resume and job search activities at the Job Market or TAY. The Job Market has many workshops that you could attend such as resume tips, interview boot camp, transferable skills, and youth work readiness.
